hi everyone-
The days are adding up! I worked on the details of the new 90-day program for you all until the wee hours last night- it goes out today to my email-list, it’s very exciting.
My secret weapon for living well and good self care is really simple- I get up
before everyone else (except the 5 dogs) in my house. This started when I was
a single mother of 2 little boys, and was desperate for time alone. I was too tired at night, and had always been something of a “morning person” and so I began to get up about 90 minutes before their 7 am get up time.
This gave me plenty of room to do my journaling, a bit of meditation, and read my metaphysical-type books for inspiration to create a new life for myself. I got really hooked on having that time for such a focused dose of self care.
The habit stuck- I now have to start my day with time for these things, or the day
just doesn’t go well. Many of you are adverse to getting up earlier, but I have to say, if you can do it, it changes the energy of the entire day. I feel so empowered and clear, plus get great satisfaction from feeling so accomplished before anyone
else is even up.
Plus, morning time is easy to protect- not much else is going to come up or interfere, which is a really important piece.
Starting your day off well, colors the rest of it , sort of a “trickle down” of good stuff.
