What You Eat Impacts More than Your Weight
Holiday season stirs up all sorts of feelings in us- I notice many of the women I see are feeling a bit down, drained, depressed and depleted lately. Some of this has to do with the shorter days and colder temperatures. Some has to do with the Season, when many women feel overwhelmed by their to-do lists, and are not putting much back into their own self-care.
Some of it also comes with the holiday overeating and the ensuing crash of your chemistry from too much sugar or other things that set you up for low energy, or cravings or depressed moods.
I sense many of you longing for the fresh start that the beginning of the New Year can hold, but remember there is nothing magical about the first of January, or starting something on a Monday, or any other artificially imposed date.
The desire for change begins within, and when it shows up for you, it is essential to honor it. I believe these desires come in through your Intuitive Body. They go beyond thoughts or beliefs, which occur in our minds, and are subject to all sorts of influence and interference.
What comes in through your Intuitive Body are messages from your spirit, from your divinity, whispering to you ” come this way, come this way”. It’s different and you can feel it.
It’s helpful to set aside some time for quiet so that you can truly attune to what your spirit is trying to convey to you. Tune into your body, any tensions or tightness there hold information for you about what is or is not going well for you, or where you need to find some balance.
In the quiet that you create for yourself, just ask “what are the changes that are mine to make at this time?” Let yourself wait for whatever wants to come up. Just listen, the information from our spirits tends to come in very very simply and quietly. There will not be drama or fanfare, many refer to this as the “still, small, voice within”.
Just listen, sit and breathe. Release any judgment or need to figure anything out right now. When you are ready, you can jot down any thoughts or words that you received. There is no need to plan or take action just now- you want to try to sit with these ideas for now. Feel free to write in a journal about anything you feel moved to try or put in place right now. Be gentle and easy with all of this. Go slowly, trust the process, and let things unfold as organically as you can. Powerful changes can start in these ways.
Wishing you love and every blessing-
