Giving Up Sugar (and flour of all kinds), again
Sound the trumpets.It’s Day 4.
Ok, feeling a little silly as I write a quick daily blog to inspire myself and hopefully somebody else to stop before somebody gets hurt! A little silly because I am eating an oh-so-NOT-dainty meal, in a fairly fast and uncivilized way, typing with my mouth filled with salad, warm vegetables, warm leftover squash and a little bison thrown in to my favorite enormous glass bowl.
I’m eating fast because a client will be here in 21 minutes. Although, truth be told, I don’t think most meals take me 21 minutes, regardless of the occasion. Wish I could tell you i have all of those lovely behavior-modifying tricks down, but that’s never been what’s worked for most of us anyways. How many times did you hear “put your fork down between bites”? Maybe it works, I wouldn’t know…
I am pleased and relieved to report that even after 4 relatively easy days, the payoffs of getting off the processed carbohydrates are substantial.
less mental fog
less face and belly poofiness
no stress around guilt, shame, regret (this makes your overall energy lighter and brighter)
and my favorite…
that moment when you wake up, and don’t have to remember any damage done the night/day before.
