So this IS kinda magical, definitely painless once you adjust, and will absolutely help you change your weight for the better and create sparkling good health in you.
This isn’t even of the energy-healing kind of magic, although I know a lot of those ways also. This is more down-to-earth, and of the earth. Very physical.
One of the biggest overall changes you can make simply, that will ripple powerfully into your health on every level is to eat 2 pounds of vegetables/greens each day.
If you’re not used to this kind of quantity, it probably sounds crazy or impractical but it’s the foundation of my personal health and weight management on a purely physical level.
I eat a pound of vegetables and greens at both lunch and dinner.
I’ve always been into quantity, I admit it. Chewing is very soothing to me, and meals that take some time to eat are psychologically and physically more satisfying to me (even if my male family often deserts me before I’m done…)
Vegetables and plants are the foundation of lunch and dinner. Always.
I keep a pre-made salad on hand, already torn and chopped and mixed up in my purple wooden salad bowl (the greens look so beautiful with the purple, which is a good thing). I use some field greens, baby spinach, lots of radicchio which is a purplish and white smallish head of leafiness, shredded carrots and broccoli “slaw”, sometimes arugula or watercress, some romaine, then keep it fresh with a wet paper towel and a tea-towel over that.
I take 8-10 oz of green and put into my big glass meal-bowl. I may add the rest as cooked/steamed veggies like cauliflower which i love as it feels starchy, or baked squash, or cooked peas, or broccoli. Or I may cut up some raw veggies- my favorite are red peppers, jicama, baby carrots.
I add cooked protein-
I add a tablespoon of really good olive oil, some lemon juice or flavored vinegar.
Some salt and pepper and a few snips of fresh herbs like basil, mint, parsley, or thyme
That’s it. Simple, hearty, multi-colored and textured and filling.
Getting this amount of vegetables and plant food in your diet will absolutely change your life. If you are overwhelmed by the amount, start smaller, but get used to having plants be the basis of these meals and you will absolutely see some magic- and feel like a million.

Here’s sending you some blog LOVE. Great idea about the greens and veggies. Such a simple thing really, yet we so seldom eat them that it probably does feel a bit overwhelming at first. However, easily rectified by starting somewhere!
