Solstice prayer- dark before the dawn

It’s always darkest before the dawn… and there is a lot of darkness right now…and today is the darkest shortest day of the year.. our Winter Solstice. And I pray that we hold the light in our own hearts.. love and tenderness and compassion for ourselves, for each other, for our planet… for our animals, for our plant world.. for the seen and the unseen.. That we remember that there is magic and miracles, that we live in a great big mystery and that God always plays the final hand.
