This morning I was finishing my green tea, about to have what I lovingly call my Green Swamp Drink (incredible potent start-my-day mix of nutrients that come out extremely green but which make me feel like my own version of Wonder Woman) when I was remembering an incident that happened yesterday.
I took the day off- a really well deserved day off that came on the heels of 3 weekends of solid nonstop work in a row. I spent it with one of my oldest bestest friends and it was girlie and perfect. We were at my favorite very upscale really beautiful mall, and I am very visual so I was loving all the holiday beauty and frankly, just being out of the house and off my laptop!
We went to a restaurant I love, got my (favorite) thing there which sounds gross but I love it this salmon and tuna tartare (yes raw, so good with these crunchy chip things) and a big pear sparkly martini. My senses were saturated, I was happy happy, laughing, free.
Which meant that when we started to to into the stores I was a little “high”- not drunk high , or any other substance kind of high- but a little ungrounded high. Being ungrounded is a common theme at Intuitive Body if you’ve been here for any length of time.. .if not hang around, it’s worth knowing about in relation to your body and eating.
Anyways, I am digressing all over the place. I found myself having bought my favorite clients beautiful gifts (see? private clients get really beautiful gifts!! more than at holidays actually… sorry little plug for coaching here!) and I saw the most beautiful little bauble. And it absolutely was meant to be mine- it actually LOOKED like it had been separated at birth from the necklace I wear almost every day. This was a funky gorgeous one of a kind bracelet… the kind that everyone always says to me “that looks so beautiful on you, I would never have the guts to wear it”!. So I’m at the cash register, and paid for the gifts for the clients and the bracelet.
And The Voice quietly enters the picture. The Voice is always quiet. This isn’t The Ten Commandments. You’ve heard it maybe called The Still Small Voice, and that is a really good description of your inner voice of wisdom and guidance and intuition whispering to you. It speaks in your own language and your own voice and it doesn’t make a big deal which is why we so often ignore it.
But The Voice said, don’t do it. Buying this bracelet today is going to leave you feeling really uncomfortable. And I listened. For about a second I rationalized. For another second I felt embarrassed asking the sales clerk to return it and take it off my bill. But the truth is we always suffer when we ignore our Voice of guidance.
This Voice speaks to us a lot. You’ve heard it right? Sometimes it says things very ordinary. Other times it asks us to do something we are not comfortable doing. Other times it suggests ideas that we are too afraid to act on, but I can tell you this, if you do amazing things can happen for you.
Your Intuition works beautifully around helping you manage your eating. You will always hear that quiet guidance anytime you are about to hurt yourself with food. I promise you, there is always a whisper that accompanies every act of overeating or pre-binge. You may ignore it, but if you listen you’ll hear it. You have built in protection!
Got any experiences that you can share about this? I would really love to hear times you were aware of your guidance and intuition speaking to you. We have such amazing capacities. Come over to my blog and tell me the time that really stands out for you when your Divinity showed up for you as The Voice, and what YOU call it or how you think of it. I’d really love to know.
GO EASY this week, everything good happens in slower more savoring deliberate time. Enjoy the smaller moments and what’s “yours” with no comparing or trying to live up to some idealized holiday. No such thing. Make peace with what is this year.
With Love From My Heart to Yours,
Lisa

Everyone now-a-days is talking about the impact food has on our health. Most people don’t even consider using their intuition when deciding what to eat. We usually judge it as healthy foods or not healthy foods from other outside sources, not our inner sources.
You're right if we tap into our intuition instead, we’ll notice feeling healthier, finds foods within our budget, and even get some treats to boot.
