She was wrapped in a net of light. She wove it around her, shimmering and rare.
Points of tiny diamonds woven into fine white net, she pulled it on, stepped into it, the pure pleasure of finding this, her own constellation…like her favorite jewelry, like an Elsa Peretti necklace she saw at Tiffany’s long ago.
She twinkled like the stars
She sparkled like sun on the water She was a beacon from the shore
Felt into the weave of the fine netting and held it close. Closed her eyes and felt the sparkle and shine, saw the tiny lights inside of her eyes, imagined she could make them brighter just by thinking it into being, by turning up an imaginary dial.
She opened her heart to the stars, to the moon, to the planets she felt orbiting around her, sending her swirls of color and new moments of awareness. She opened to the tides as they moved inside of her, the salt sparkling and crystalline.
She twinkled like a star
Sent her silvery light across the skies Shimmery love calling him in
Pulled the stars and the sky into her body with each breath. Breathing in the cool cool soft air, into her skin, letting it rest lightly there, letting it become part of her nature. Breathing in the bluest sky, drawing it down, feeling it settle as it brought something new, this element of air, of the heavens, her feet still on this earth.
Feeling into the quiet, melting and merging with the stillness. Quieter still. Breathing it into her body, feeling her heart lift and expand. Balancing in this web that is her world, woven in her own time, diamonds and light, the sacred geometry, a mandala… she sits in the center, letting the rest of it come to her. She is home.
She twinkled like the stars
She sparkled like sun on the water
She glowed like the very center of a white hot sun.
She reached for the Moon and borrowed a bit of that light, becoming a silvery perfect moonbeam cutting through the night onto a perfectly trim verdant lawn, the heat of the summer day receding, transmuting. Breathing. Waiting. She waited.
She wove a glittering web, the mystical net, the diamond lights a constellation shining their magic, their message usually unseen, her receptors picking up the signals. A simple code, the simplest of signals.
She cast that net far and wide, saw it as it unfurled, soared and lifted across the sea, elegant in slow motion, followed it with her heart and her eyes, both. Felt a leap of joy, of possibility, which fish from which seas would find their way, she sat in the stillness and waited.
The depths below not part of this story, this is about light dancing.
The waters are clear, her net sparkling…her eyes hazel and green lit with this perfect moment… She closes her eyes… sees the diamond netting following her every breath, the slightest movement of her body, following the physical like a trail of phosphorescence on the surface of the sea.
Senses Neptune enormous powerful male, the nymphs of the water, their watery caves, torchlit and dim. Senses the coolness of the floors, living far below terra firma, those depths, another world.
Be still, she whispers…be still now. Be still and wait in this net of perfect light, shimmering and rare. Be still and wait for what the waters bring.
