I’m incredibly excited to launch “The Wise Woman Council” Wednesday, August 1st.
It was a name without a project attached to it for several years.. I only knew that someday I would collaborate with women that I loved and admired. That domain name has sat on my GoDaddy list for years and years.. sitting and waiting for the right time to become whatever it was to be.
A few months ago when talking to a few women (of course) the idea birthed itself into conception and it felt like the right shape and form and the right time.
I decided to gather 11 women (11 is a “master number” in numerology and also my lucky number.. I see 11’s everywhere…and experience them as encouragement and reinforcement from the non-physical forces around us.. but that’s another story for another time) and asked them to submit their real life daily ritual of loving self-care to my monthly gathering, The Wise Woman Council, now launching today on my website.
My work with clients at Intuitive Body and so much of what I practice in my own life centers around creating sacred rituals to enhance and enrich our lives and connect us with the Divine. I believe we all crave small ceremonies and having these rituals and moments every day when we care for ourselves or return to living in our senses is good medicine.
I wanted to know what other women did to nourish themselves. What were their daily “essentials” that they used to come back to center and recover from the modern world.
Here’s what I asked them:
What’s one act of self-care that you do for yourself every day, and how does it keep you FULL…of peace, gratitude & beauty?
Today you’ll see the answers from the first 11 women to participate. This will be an ongoing feature, on the first of each month another 11 women will share their personal beautiful loving rituals. I will be talking to lots of different women.. entrepreneurs, healers, bloggers, rising stars, artists and other women who I want to know better. I love having the freedom to reach out and connect with more women in this way, it feels so good to me on so many levels. Sharing it with other women, also wonderful.
At 55 I feel solidly in my wise woman years, and happy to be here. With more reverence for life and all of its mysteries and beauty than I have ever had before.
I would love to hear about your own real life daily rituals so please take a minute to share in the comments section below.
With love beauty and gratitude for all of it…

I feel that sharing our stories, our rituals, and our challenges is the core of community building-and community building among women really needs to happen-we are naturals at it & what we build really can change the world. Thank you so much for creating a sacred space for this work to happen-and for facilitating it with such love and devotion!
Bri.. you said that so perfectly and I couldn’t have articulated what I wanted better than that..we ARE naturals at all of this and I hope it will be a sacred space for ritual and sharing and the sort of gathering at the well that I envision.. love to you my friend.. Lisa
What I love is this is an idea you let bloom on its own you didn’t push you just waited, that is inspiring
Thanks for that Meg.. that is how it went…it was ready when it was ready.. and even when it was ready in November.. it still wasn’t ready til August!! xox Lisa

Such an amazing idea! You rock Lisa!! My daily ritual begins outside in the morning with a cup of coffee and communing with nature and my dogs who love to snuggle in my lap while I wake up. It’s my favorite part of the day and when I don’t allow myself this luxury I feel stressed and tense all day. ♥
Julie.. that used to be my exact ritual until two years ago I had to give up the coffee (and cream.. and coffee without cream to me was pointless.. but no dairy for me now..) but the coffee the back steps, the dogs.. I loved it so.. the best. Enjoy it all .. xox Lisa
What a gorgeous idea to gather the wisdom together. Exercise is my ritual. It’s not always the same — often a run, just as often it’s yoga, and many times a good weights session — but it always makes me feel more balanced, centered, and prioritized.
Jessica.. me too.. one of mine.. for decades.. i need to move the energy.. never about calories or whatever for me but about being in my body and getting grounded and all that good stuff. xox Lisa

This feels so sacred! So delighted for you and I acknowledge and honor that you Knew, didn’t rush it, and allowed it to come together at the perfect time.
How do I honor myself with personal care daily? Many ways. I am not a slave to the clock. I wake when my body is done sleeping – today it might be 8 am, tomorrow 4.15. It is what it is. That took a lot of “training” and allowing. I eat when I’m hungry, not when the clock says it’s a meal time.
Love this concept; I wish you all the best as you move forward. I’d love to be sitting among your tribe!
Marita this is beautiful..love these intuitive rituals.. so different from how most live, trained via the externals. Would Love to have you sit amongst the Wise Women.. you are one.. hoping this will be a long monthly tradition and look forward to tapping many of you. love Lisa
This is such a beautiful idea! I can’t wait to read everyone’s daily rituals.
Tina.. so glad you like it.. We will have 11 new Wise Women sharing their daily rituals every month so hope you stay tuned.. and spread the good word..Love and blessings.. This is a wonderful idea, Lisa! I’ve enjoyed reading your Wise Woman Council page. I like learning about other people’s approaches to enrich their day, so I can try it in my own daily routines and see how it suits me.
Hi Inga.. so happy you like it.. I loved seeing everyone’s entries too.. we’re doing it every month and hoping it inspires other women to find their own beautiful rituals. Love to you, lisa
