hello again-
for any of you who live in massachusetts, you are aware of the weather shift this week from unseasonable to more typical temps and conditions. I love seeing the first snows of the season- my favorite part is when it is actually snowing- i find it peaceful and mesmerizing, I even noticed my dogs watching from their window seats as the flakes came down. That was earlier this morning- now it is sunny and clear and VERY windy and cold.
I love to use weather and nature in my own rituals of healing and wellbeing. I remember being on my apple-orchards hill walk a couple of weeks ago, and it getting quite windy at a certain point. All of my senses were aware of the wind- I could feel it against my physical body, I could smell its unique smell, I watched as various objects, trees and leaves and such were blown about and was enjoying the full experience.
In that moment, I thought of using the wind as part of that day’s energy-clearing and cleansing. I thought about the various emotions and energies I was carrying in the moment, any stresses or concerns, other people whose energies I was in connection with either in positive or negative ways, and I focused my intention to make use of the wind to “blow away” any energies that I wanted to be freed from in that moment.
Whenever I use any of my energy-clearing or energy-cleaning techniques, I always make sure to “name” that which I am wanting to clear. So for example, I might say “I now wish to clear myself of all tiredness, all worry, all compulsive behaviors, all self-pity, all neck stiffness”. As you specifically name what you wish to clear you focus the energies to those areas, setting the intention specifically by naming them. This brings about the changes you want. Metaphysical law states that
“energy follows thought”!!
It was a wonderful and energizing feeling, as the wind whipped about me and I connected with its power and essence to support my need for cleansing my energy fields. Wind as you know is powerful, and right there for us to connect with and use in this way. I will be writing a great deal in this blog and my ezine/newsletter in the future about ways of connecting with the natural world for our own wellness.
So, if you also have access to a very windy day today, or some other day, try letting the wind cleanse you of anything unwanted. Really let yourself connect with the energy of WIND. As women we are uniquely connected to Nature and her cycles, and any time we make that connection we will feel the beauty and power in ourselves.
Let me know what you think of this idea of connecting with Nature- drop me a line if you have any comments or questions.
Wishing you a blissful and natural day-
xox
Lisa
